/p is a hard repair. Or did you run /d with the /p switch? Regardless, why did you run an offline defrag? ( if that's what you did)

It found many bad items (over 5000) Now users are companing they lost some or all of their attachements. Is there anything we can do to prevent it from happening again? What could we have done differently?
