Hi All, well, after the details templates would not show up and I couldn't find any mention of what to do, the server had exchange removed, was demoted and was formatted and rebuilt. Re-installed Exchange using the CD based wizard, and re run all of the steps to the letter. All along the path there were no errors with install up to the point of installing exchange 2k3.
Installation appeared to freeze during the post installation process whilst trying to start the Information Store service. Left it sitting for 2 hours, but nothing happened (no event log or install log errors either). Rebooted the server after getting tired of waiting. All of the services for Exchange start properly, but there are a bunch of errors in event log. Basically this MSX2K3 server is in a 5.5 site using ADC. The main error I have had problems finding information on is: Event ID 1005 Source MSExchangeSA Unexpected error 0xc1050000. Network problems preventing connection to Microsoft Exchange Server. MAPI was unable to load information store service emsabp.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured. MS Exchange address book ID no: 00040380-0000-00000000>> occurred. After a reboot of the Exchange 2k3 server, the errors that occur are 1005 (as above) 8197: FBPublish error code 0x80040111 initializing virtual machine for MAILSERV. Make sure store is running 112: OLEDB unable to register OnSyncSave event for Schema Propagation HRESULT = 0x8000ffff 8026: LDAP bind unsucessful on directory MAILSERV for Distinguished Name (exchange service account). Directory returned 0x51 Server down. I dont know if those events are related, but there you go anyways. If you can offer any advice for the 1005 or any of the errors that would be greatly appreciated.
