We are still running exchange 5.5 on an NT4 domain. One dept here has set up an active directory. The users in this subdomain can now not change their email passwords. They can ping the primary domain controller and can access their email normally.
They get the error 'Passwords for the following resource did not synchronise. The attempt to change the password failed, the error code was 0x547(1351)' Which apparently means Error 0x547 (1351 decimal) = "Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has been denied." The few references I can find to this all relate to Active directory. Is there a way round this? Or any other solution? Or Cause?
