We're just rolling out the Treo 600 from Sprint. We have installed Sprint BCEE (Business Connection Enterprise Edition)software on a server here so our exchange 2000 email is now integrated directly with the Treos. Software is quick and easy to install --- took about 15 minutes, then another 20 minutes in a conference call with Sprint configuring it. Has an option to send a "delete all information" to a Treo if the phone is lost or stolen. Extremely cost effective -- basically about $10 per month per phone, no charge for the server software. Uses AES encryption (better than SSL).
We have our phones set to sync email every 15 minutes during the week and every 2hours on weekends --- this is configurable at each phone. So far there have been no problems, but we just released the phones to our senior team last week (3 folks in IT have been using them for a couple of monthes without problems) Let me know if you want more information!
