Where the payment options kick in is for asking your own questions. The "Limited" membership lets you have a maximum of 125 points to give out for your own question. The only thing that paying subscribers can do is hand out more points and don't see adverts. It would help you gave the question number, but I was able to find it. The accepted answer indicates that the problem is with Symantec and recommended that the AV software be disabled - although the asker never confirmed that the problem was resolved. Someone else stated that it was only a problem with this particular combination.
