Creating an account at EE is free. This will give you access to the
questions.

Where the payment options kick in is for asking your own questions.
The "Limited" membership lets you have a maximum of 125 points to give
out for your own question. If you want to ask a question and offer more
points then you need to become a paying member or answer enough
questions to earn 10,000 points.

I also had a question that was answered on that site. I just went there
and the only way to get the answer is to become a paying member. Unless
I get access to the site after I get my 10,000 points. That is the only
way I can see to become a free member.

Is that correct?

Thanks for the info.

You don't need to be paying subscriber to get access - just become a
member. The only thing that paying subscribers can do is hand out more
points and don't see adverts.

It would help you gave the question number, but I was able to find it.

The accepted answer indicates that the problem is with Symantec and
recommended that the AV software be disabled - although the asker never
confirmed that the problem was resolved. Someone else stated that it was
only a problem with this particular combination.

While trying to send a .rtf e-mail to two internal recipients today, I
keep
getting an NDR back from the server. I couldn't find ANYTHING on
Symantec
about it, but while doing a Google search, I found this exact
error...word
for word...on www.experts-exchange.com <www.experts-exchange.com> .

"This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again
later, or contact your network administrator. The item is currently
being
scanned for viruses. Try again in a few moments. Error is
[0x80040119-0x00050a-0x000546]."

The person on the web even has the exact same setup:
        Email Server: Microsoft Exchange 5.5
        Email client: Microsoft Outlook 2003
        Viruses Software: Symantec Corporate Edition

However, this solution was only available to paying subscribers. Does
anybody have a subscription, that could log on and pull the answer off
for
me?

I know it's a Symantec issue, because I turned off the AV service on one
of
the Exchange servers and it went through just fine.
