We have a new Exchange 2003 server which all outbound mail is currently
going through. The problem is since the move we have a large mailing
list which I'm getting large amounts of "452 Too many recipients" errors
from. I'm not sure why. I thought exchange 2003 was supposed to send
as many messages as it could until it got a 452 error then split it and
send the 2nd half? Is this not correct? I'm getting messages like
this:
John Smith (E-mail) on 8/16/2004 8:36 AM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did
not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it
still fails, contact your system administrator.
<servername.domainname #4.0.0 smtp;452 Too many recipients>
