I would be concerned as to why anything at all stopped working because of a
simple drive failure. One of the ideas behind RAID is that everything keeps
working when you lose one drive.
What kind of server is this?

Subject: Exchange 2000 & Windows 2003 AD

All I had an issue arrise while I was off from work . My boss called and
said that the exchange server was down and no one could access the internet.
So upon further investigation I found that one of the drives in the raid 5
had failed (3 drives for the raid) Also this is a windows
2003 AD domain, The DNS server which is the AD root would not start. Got the
drive replaced and remirrored and then everything started working as it
should, internet back up mail flowing again. So now I am confused why would
the exchange server cause the DNS server to stop working ?? can anyone shed
some light on this

Thanks in Advance
Ronk
