Because: The remote Exchange 2000 system is owned by another company. We are involved in a joint venture with them. It was decided (not by myself) that because our employees that are involved in the joint venture work more closely with their joint venture partners than they do with the rest of the organisation, that they should be migrated to their mail system.
However they are our employees and need to maintain their identity as such. So their SMTP addresses needed to stay the same. So for our SMTP namespace (imshealth.com) I have some recipient's on our Exchange org and some on theirs. I couldn't see a way to make the routing work using an SMTP connector. Cheers, Nick. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Fyodorov, Andrey FTL Sent: 24 August 2004 17:27 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Recipient address issue over X400 Why are you using X.400 to connect 5.5 and 2000? Why not SMTP? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
