I'm not clairvoyant so I couldn't divine that you are running Exchange 2003. The M: drive is there, just very well hidden and it can be unhidden, so it's good advice for me to still provide that admonition, wouldn't you agree?
If you want, you can run NTBACKUP and back up to a file on the NAS device so you don't have to deal with tapes on your Exchange server at all.
