Journaling puts a copy of the message in another location so no matter what
the user does with his mailbox, the copy remains.
Of course there are many more archiving solutions available. Its just a
matter of what you want to pay for them.

Subject: RE: disable permanent delete of messages

Got a note back from my boss -- he says journaling, etc would not work
because messages are getting deleted right after being sent. Is there
something in the Exchange settings to disable permanent deletion on a
selective basis?
        Thanks
        John
