Never mind. I got a chance to talk to the user and see where he'd gotten the email address from... he clicked on the email address in the "from" field that was quoted in someone else's email and got the whole "mailto:...."; stuff in there as well and that somehow translated to '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' which was causing the bounce, I think.
