Hello Everyone,

I need to allow an application sitting on one of our internal
servers to use our Exchange Server as a Relay. I went into the Routing tab
that is in the Internet Mail Services ( In exchange 5.5 Admin
Administration) and then selected Routing Restrictions and added the IP of
the server that is hosting the app in the Hosts and clients with these IP
addresses box . I log into that server through Term Services and bring up a
Telnet window and test the relaying and it works fine if I'm trying to send
an email to an internal client; As soon as I try to send the Email to
someone external, it gives me the error 550 Relaying is prohibited. I did
stop the IMS after I added the servers IP Address Routing Restrictions.

Any ideas what I did wrong ?
