Actually, there is a check every 24 hours that the SiteFolderServer does
that checks for duplicate system folders and if any dupes are found, we
delete them so only one copy of the folder is there.

There should be only one OAB Version 2. It is quite possible that the
presence of the second one is confusing Outlook.

I have seen a duplicate OAB Version 2 appear after you create a blank
Pub.edb and then later restore the original public information store.
The
blank one starts with its own OAB Version 2 and updates the directory.
Then
when you restore the original public information store, the original OAB
Version 2 folder comes back - and you have two of them.

I think I fixed this in the past by running IS/DS Consistency Adjustment
on
public folders and asked to adjust all inconsistencies. Then the
following
day the second OAB Version 2 folder was gone.

They are there on both servers. Both servers appear to have TWO folders
named "OAB Version 2". Is this normal? Also, it appears that the
free/busy
data is replicating correctly, at least according to Exchange Admin and
the
"last received time" as listed there.

Check the System folder called Offline Address Book and its subfolders.
Make
sure that they are homed correctly and that they have permissions for
Default to be an Editor. Make sure that Offline Address Book has the
subfolder for the site, and that the one for the site has a subfolder
called
OAB Version 2.

Subject: Exchange 5.5 problems

I've got two problems with Exchange 5.5. We have two servers and I keep
seeing an error in the application log about problems generating the
offline
address book. Yesterday I was informed that when my boss' assistant
updates
his calendar, it only updates HER copy, not the copy on the server.

I figure these are related to the crash we had a few weeks back. Can
anyone
tell me how to fix these two problems?
        Thanks
        John
