We are currently running Exchange 2003 in a mixed mode environment. However, we would like to switch over to native mode. We just finished a test in the lab, but ran into a little snag.
We have two Domains. Domain 1 is a mixed mode domain, running NT 4.0 and Active Directory. It is the only Domain with an Exchange Server. Domain 2 is a small NT 4.0 Domain only, and uses a Trusts to access the Exchange Server on Domain 1. When we upgraded the lab to Native Mode (Domain 1 only), users in Domain 2 were no longer able to access/send/receive any email. Do both Domains need to be in Native Mode before Exchange 2003 will work across the trusts? If not, I'll start troubleshooting other possible solutions. Thanks.
