As regards the queue.dat file I wondered why if it was a queue file why it had not been touched for over 18 months?
I do see outbound messages queuing up occasionally in the IMS properties Queues tab if there is a network problem for example, but I thought once messages were forwarded on to our external smtp forwarder they were deleted from the queue and thus the file size would decrease. If it was being used then I would have expectd the file date to change.
