Thanks Chris. I get what you are saying. In my head I try to live in 5.5 and
2003 at the same time . . . it never seems to work out.
PS nice picture in the Exchange Connections 2005 brochure. I always wondered
what you looked like . . . not what I expected. :)

2 Exchange servers in different forests are not part of the same
Exchange org. By definition Forest is an Exchange organizational
boundary. MIIS or a similar tool will be required to accomplish the task
in the environment described.

2 exchange 2003 servers in different sites, different
forests, same org (mixed mode), want to swap directory
information over the internet. In the old 5.5 parlance this
would have been a directory replication connector. In the
AD\Exchange 2003 world I haven't been in enough different
migrations to know if this is an Exchange directory issue or
an AD directory issue and what tool to use after that ....
