If eseutil removed the attachment table how is it recovered? Or better yet where does it reside? We have major problems opening e-mails with attachments. W2K sp4... Exchange 5.5 sp4. Outlook 2K clients. Should I open another discussion about this area? New member to this list. Thanks to all for any input.

I don't think any of the eseutil utilities should be used unless you absolutely have to, myself. Some of them can be really destructive. My rule of thumb with eseutil is always run it on a COPY of the d/b. Keep the original. Eseutil can do some ... unanticipated things. Like delete the entire attachment table. Never, ever use eseutil /p if you don't have to. Like if all your backups have failed and your information store won't start. Even then, run it on a COPY. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
