I've got a user who is continually complaining that his E-mail is acting up.
It is sometimes slow when he switches from one folder to another.
Occasionally his "recipients" address list doesn't show up. He has tried
using two different computers with the same results. He has also tried
plugging into a different network port. Others who use this same port have
not reported problems. He has a ton of mail. I tried moving some of his
mail to a PST so his folders are smaller and that has helped but he is still
reporting some difficulties. I'm not getting complaints from others
accessing the same Exchange server from the same LAN. He is using Outlook
2003 to access an Exchange 5.5 server. When he first reported the problem
Outlook was caching his mailbox. I turned off the caching function but got
no improvement. Both computers that he has tried are new so it shouldn't be
a function of performance of the client. He did not report any problems
when he was using an older computer and Outlook 2000.

Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Could it be a
problem with his mailbox? I could export his mail and recreate his mailbox.
Any other suggestions? I'm suspicious that it would work fine with an older
version of Outlook. Outlook 2003 seems slower for everyone (but not
problematic) but I hate to downgrade him.

Thanks for your suggestions.
