With Windows 2003, adding a 3rd node to your cluster isn't that difficult
and can be quite cheap considering you already have all the shared storage
you need.

It is not your fault, but still who made the decision to install an
active-active Exchange 2003 cluster? I mean in the era of Exchange 2003,
most people should know better.

Subject: Exchange Cluster and SP1
I have just joined a company which has an Active-Active Exchange 2003
cluster both on Windows 2003. I like to update the Windows servers to SP1
and also update Exchange boxes to SP1. My plan is to fail-over one node to
the other, update the OS and then install Exchange SP1, then fail-back to
the newly updated Exchange server and do the same thing on the other. My
concern is once the first node is updated with SP1 will not the fail-back
have problem because the IS on the 2nd node is still pre-SP1? Does anyone
have any suggestions.
Thanks
