Does that mean that you believe that this problem started more or less coincidentally with and because of "2003 SP1" being applied and hotfixed? If so, what "2003 SP1" do you mean, Windows or Exchange? DNS servers forward to resolver.qwest.com and that it is. The root hints have never been touched. I've checked many times with Qwest DNS admin for incorrect MX entries, and every time they tell me everything shows correctly. Had this at the old place. Never got a handle on it. I just switched the smtp to use external DNS instead of our internal AD DNS. That fixed it for us. When I got here, the folks prior to me had already done the same.
