He did, apparently, quoting the KB articles in his post, although with no
context. I only knew that because I was going to suggest the same thing but
I checked the articles first.

Subject: SMTP address To field resolves to DN

I have noticed a problem recently with external emails that come in the to
field is resolving to the DN. I hadn't really noticed until we were looking
at some rules on a marketing email account. As at the 27th April
2004 12:26 emails that came in the 'To' field was left alone (IE displays as
the internal users SMTP address). So if you had multiple SMTP addresses on
an Emailbox you could distingish emails that arrival under each one. But
looking back at received emails as at 27th April
2004 14:00 the 'To' field started resolving against the GAL and showing the
internal users DN. Any ideas how to revert back. Please ote that the from
field is still left unresolved. Checked articles 288635, 174755 and white
paper Inside Exchange IMS. At the time of the incident the servers were 5.5
SP4 and just had the post SP4 rollup installed, there is no Exchange 2000
between the transport of the email from the IMC to the users 5.5 server (we
do have Exchnage 200 on to routing groups to othe!
 r areas in the world).

Cheers
Paul
