Started using IronMountain for daily tape pickups a couple of weeks ago. I was not involved with the setup, but to process tapes, we go to their secure website, put in some serial #'s for the tapes we are giving them and we say when we want them back. They come with a case designed to hold the particular media we use, and it has a lock on it.
The drivers have no keys to the boxes, they don't get involved with anything. They just verify they are picking up from an authorized party and drop off the tapes being returned. When the tapes get to their distro center, another person processes.
