Assuming you have your own IMS... breaking the site connector is unlikely to have adverse effects. Testing in a lab is always a good idea however.
I'm not sure what some of the steps in scenario 3 are supposed to do. (i.e. exmerging people out of the GAL, which isn't really possible or necessary since remote users should have been replicated via a directory replication connector and will be removed when it is). -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jim Blunt Posted At: Tuesday, December 06, 2005 9:44 AM Posted To: swynk Conversation: Exchange 5.5 to 5.5 migration... Subject: Re: Exchange 5.5 to 5.5 migration... Ok...let me clarify. *At some point*, I am going to have to move these users to a new organization. The organization they are moving to, does not currently exist. If I can get away with simply deleting the site connector for now and just migrating once to Exchange 2003, instead of two moves, then that is my preferred plan. Basically, I just wanted to know if deleting the site connector for the other site was going to break Exchange and keep it from working in our site. If it doesn't, then I will follow the steps in Strategy 3.
