Thanks for the comeback, Chris. Nope, I even tried that. Then, thinking
it was a tombstone issue, and I'd long ago set tombstone to 2 days, I
waited until Sunday. Still no dice.

I threw in the towel and just created a brand-new user account, new
mailbox, copied the contents over, etc. Not elegant, but I'd been
messing around with this for 4 days and it was time to just do it.

Thanks again. These folks will be migrated to E2K3 in a couple of
months, so these problems will be over, and new ones will take their
place <g>.
