Did you point the mailbox store to another public folder server?

Thanks again, Ed, for your reply.

After Googling for a while, I found an article in which somebody had the
exact same problem I had. It seemed to be an Exchange 2003 SP2 thing,
because on my previous front-end server, I was able to delete the public
folder store with no problem.

Here's the article which describes the very same problem I am having,
and the suggested solution, which did not work for me:

http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.exchange.setup/browse_th
read/thread/a7f8d8c335ec5ffe/1f0ecdb552442ba4%231f0ecdb552442ba4?sa=X&oi

And, I still cannot delete the FE public folder store, no matter what
server I connect to, no matter if the store is mounted or not, no matter
whether I've deleted the underlying databases or not.

Sheesh.
