Oh yeah, this is different in Exchange 2003. ForestPrep doesn't lock you in like it did in Exchange 2000. The cobwebs just cleared, sorry.

No I went through the steps in the exdeploy tools where that comes afterwards. It seems to have gone fine - I then installed the ADC and waited for replication before installing Exchange 2003 and then SP2.
