Why is that? Also (new to exchange 2003) how would I go about finding
out if a corrupt db is the problem?

Thanks.

Sounds like database corruption rather than a permissions issue.

Conversation: Mailbox permissions after migration to 2k3
Subject: Mailbox permissions after migration to 2k3

HI everyone,
I have a number of users that can't create new folders in their
mailboxes after I've migrated them from our 5.5 server to our 2003
server. I've checked permissions, and the user account has "read" and
"full control" permissions. I've tried removing the account then
re-adding it, to no avail. I've also tried adding additional user
accounts to see if they could add folders but had no luck with that as
well. When I do try to create a new folder it will cause outlook to
hang.

Thanks for help.

Sean
