As such, automatic email to any mobile phone in the UK and the word "cheap" cannot be used in the same sentence. You basically only have one option and that is to use an email to SMS gateway and that will cost you 10p for every email message. It does let you support any phone, but is very expensive to run. If you have fairly modern mobile phones you could see if they have an email client built in. Many of the more modern phones have this. You also have OMA which works with most mobiles released in the UK in the last couple of years. Then you have smart phones - Blackberry or Windows Mobile Devices. Blackberry can give you push technology now, Windows Mobile 5.0 will eventually (any day between now and the end of the century).
