I was previously running 5.5 and 2003 at the same time, so perhaps it came over as part of that setup? 5.5 has been long gone.
Ok, so that leaves the System Attendant. Do I go ahead and offline defrag my 109gigs of white space to keep it where it was, or am I better off going through the move process described here: http://www.it-faq.pl/mskb/262/892.HTM and deleting the original store. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ed Crowley [MVP] Sent: Friday, March 03, 2006 1:29 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Deleting Unused Stores - Moving "special" boxes Why do you have MS Schedule+ Free/Busy Connector? Delete it! That only existed for connectivity to MS Mail. You don't need to move SMTP or SystemMailbox to be able to delete the store. First: I need to delete an unused store. I've moved every mailbox from the store. The only mailboxes left are the SystemMailbox and the SMTP mailbox. At this point, is there anything special I need to do before I go ahead and delete the entire store? Second: I've moved every mailbox out of the first mailbox store that was created when I setup Exchange 2003, except for SMTP, SystemMailbox, System Attendant, and MS Schedule+ Free/Busy Connector. This mailbox store has a file size of 109 gigs, but that's obviously all white space now (except for about 8 megabytes). I haven't found anything that says I can't move the Schedule+ mailbox to a new store. I've found an unpublished KB article on moving the system attendant. I've also found people who have said it's a bad idea to move the system attendant. What should I do? Should I go down the route of moving system attendant/schedule+ mailboxes, or should I take the store offline, make a copy of it, and offline defrag it with eseutil? I'm running Enterprise edition and I'm not out of stores, so I don't have any problems keeping it. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
