D'oh! It's the connectors. They were set to disallow PF referrals.
Untick that and I'm back in business.

Subject: New PF issue

I hate public folders [:-)

All public folders are published to Exchange 2003 servers. I have some
pf's on one server in Admin Group A and some on another server in Admin
Group B. Some how, today, users in Admin Group A can't see the public
folders in Admin Group B (what I used to call Public Folder affinity in
the 5.5 world). As soon as I push a replica from the server in Admin
Group B to the server in Admin Group A, users in Admin Group A can now
see the contents. It's as if the servers don't know that they exist on
another server. Any thoughts on where I can start to look?

Thanks in advance,
Tony
