Hey guys I DON't know if this is related, but we just had some laptops that received windows updates yesterday, and now their owa won't work also. If I log on to a computer without the updates, my owa works fine. We're receiving that error in the bottom left of the explorer window, and when you click it, it gives you the error "object expected" & "expected identifier"
MS has some old kb's on this error, but none that would worm for me since I can't see it as a server problem. Anyone see anything like this? paul -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Geni Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 7:46 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Critical hotfix 911829 Just a note to warn others: over the weekend, I'd done critical updates on my principal Exchange mailbox server (back-end), and Monday morning, my OWA no longer worked. Users could log in, but got garbage on the screen. I finally figured out it's because I'd applied BOTH critical hotfixes (916803 and 911829) to the back-end servers, but had accidentally overlooked 911829 on my front-end server. So, just a word of warning - the note in 911829 that says it has to be applied to both front-end and back-end servers - they mean that. ;-) (We didn't catch it immediately because we're in the middle of getting OWA working through ISA with a customized interface, and at first we thought something else had broken OWA - I didn't figure it out until I realized the problem was consistent whether you were inside or outside of ISA.) _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
