To see the Exchange properties in Active Directory Users and Computers install the Exchange Management Tools on the machine on which you're using ADU&C. Apparently it didn't go through so I'm resubmitting. Since the first submission I've run into another problem which is probably related to the first. I've added the additional information below. > -----Original Message----- > From: Finley, Curtis M. > Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2006 2:22 PM > To: 'Exchange Discussions' > Subject: ForestPrep error > > When I run ForestPrep I get > > Exchange Server 2003 has a known compatibility issue with this version > of Windows. I'd install a > more recent version of Exchange but don't have the media. I ignored the above error and proceeded with the migration process. I got the same error when running DomainPrep. After I installed the Active Directory Connector lots of stuff migrated over into AD (like email addresses, custom recipients and distribution lists). However, the properties for the user accounts don't reveal the Exchange tabs. I'm guessing this is because ForestPrep or domain prep didn't do their job. Note, in addition to running Forest and Domain prep from the machine that will be running Exchange, I also ran it on the DC and got the same results. I'm running the Active Directory Connector on a third Server 2003 machine that will be trashed after migration. > Anyone know why I'm getting this error or how to avoid them? And how can I get the Exchange tabs to show up on the user accounts properties? Thanks for your help.
