You can (1) upgrade them in place or (2) bring up new front-end servers, change the DNS records, and remove the old ones. You could also swap IP addresses, but that shouldn't be necessary.

All other remote sites authenticate at the corp. office. OWA running on a FE W2K/EX2K server. BE Win2K/EX2K EX2Ks running on member servers. Questions: 1) Will there be any issues if NT BDCs are not upgraded prior to upgrading Exch? 2) Is this the recommended sequence of upgrading: - upgrade FE to EX2K3 - upgrade FE to W2K3 - upgrade BE EX2K to EX2K3 - upgrade BE to W2K3 Also the old (current) FE server hardware can be replaced. I'm pretty sure GFI Mail Essentials can do it, and there are probably many other third-party apps that can do it. The only free way I can think of would be a script running under an account with permissions on all of the boxes. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Alex Alborzfard Sent: Wednesday, August 09, 2006 12:57 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Global deletion of messages Apparently! I have been given about 20 keywords, and the task of deleting all messages in each of our exchange servers that contain any of these keywords. The ExMerge utility would be perfect, except it will not search the body of a message. I need to search the body, subject, to, and from fields.
