Ahh... Ok. Maybe. Thanks for the tip!

Are you creating PFs in ESM? Maybe that's the problem -- maybe you
should
be creating them in Outlook. At least that's what I do, and they have
the
proper enable/disable options.

I probably screwed up when I tried to create public folders that were
mail-enabled in the first place. Now, whenever I create a public folder
and then drag the existing mail-enabled public folders in there, it
automatically mail-enables the "parent" folder.

ESM. Administrative Group -> Folders container. Right click on each
folder
and enable or disable. But there's a trick to it, you can only do it in
the
left pane, not--maddeningly--in the right.

mail-disable the root folder, mail-enable the child folders, each with
its
own address?

Subject: Disabling mail to public folder

I am administering a Windows 2003 SBS server with Exchange. Our company
is a staffing agency, so I created a public folder for "resumes" and
enabled it for mail. Then I was advised that we wanted separate folders
for clerical/technical and industrial and didn't want a "catchall" email
address for resumes. So I created the new folders.
Unfortunately the "resumes" folder is getting spammed like crazy. I'd
like to disable mail delivery to that folder, but still allow mail to go
to the sub-folders.
How do I do this?
Thanks
John
