Thanks Harriet. It actually started working correctly after about 4.5 hours. I had actually restarted the server on Friday, but that didn't make a difference. I have a case open with MS, just for info only now, as I'd like to know the answer on how to force update it (If it's even an option). Thanks again. -Greg Olson

Restart the smtp server? Harriet Wood -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Greg Olson Sent: 02 February 2007 19:09 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Help on Max recipents per message setting. Hi All, I have a quick question I'm hoping someone has the answer for. Last night our new security admin placed a restriction in Exchange limiting the number of recipients in a message to 50, using the Exchange system manager, Global settings, Message delivery, defaults recipient limit. He didn't realize (Nor did he bother to ask me) that it would affect Distribution lists as well. So after the phone started ringing off the hook this morning, I found out what he did, and changed it back to the defaults for now. My issue is that it's been over 3 hours and I'm still seeing errors trying to send to lists with greater than 50 recipients. Getting the " The e-mail system limits the number of recipients that can be addressed in a single message. Send the message multiple times to fewer recipients." Error. How do I force Exchange to update this setting, as I've looked at all the Exchange servers and they are showing the correct value I put in. Thanks in advance for your help! -Greg Olson _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
