It is - the CDO patch (KB 926666) will take store.exe past a version that kills this functionality, as it USED to work, and described in the below KB.
I'm confused because the FIX for this is to put SendAs on the AD objects...I'm not sure how any patch for Exchange or BES would have an impact on that... --James -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Adams, Kevin C. From my BES administrator (and the Gods of RIM)...the patch mentioned in that link is rolled into the DST update. If you can prove me wrong I'd greatly appreciate it :) K -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Adams, Kevin C. When I looked at the properties of our domain and the advanced security settings our besadmin wasn't present and I added it in with send as for User Objects and then things started working again. I wonder if there were some inherited permissions that were removed and that we basically resolved the issue by putting in explicit permissions for the users objects. I'm doing the DST patches this weekend; we'll see if the Blackberry folks start complaining afterward. Personally, I don't carry one, and I try to keep myself away from the BES stuff as much as possible. I just know the tech who supports it swears it breaks every time I patch the Exchange servers (and yes, we're doing the patches on the BES server at the same time). I haven't seen that happening...what ACL changes to break BES? --James -----Original Message----- From: "Hawkins, Geni P" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Exchange Discussions" <[email protected]> Sent: 2/16/07 12:56 PM Subject: RE: DST Grant Script errors (BES server issue) We've actually had that happen with our BES server after nearly every patch. The BES server requires the BES account to have Send As permissions on every Blackberry user account, and every time you apply a Microsoft update, it seems to break that. It's a colossal pain and one of the reasons I really wish our higher-ups hadn't decided on Blackberry. Other than that, the BES seems to work pretty well, but that caused some real headaches before we realized it was going to happen every freaking time. KB04707. I had to reset the Send As permissions for users after patching one of the Exchange servers (test environment). About 50 of my mailboxes are generating the following errors: "No mailbox owner user accounts found for /O=Organization Name/OU=Admin group/CN=Recipient Container/CN=user in DC=subdomain,DC=subdomain,DC=domain,DC=tld" and Failed to get user's LDAP path from /O=Organization Name/OU=Admin group/CN=Recipient Container/CN=user in DC=subdomain,DC=subdomain,DC=domain,DC=tld" I can't find any Google responses for the errors (except for ones pointing back to the KB which includes the script). I tried to look at the accounts in ADSIEdit, but I'm either not looking for the correct keyword or not looking in the correct location. Most all of these have logged into and are using the calendars so I'm not seeing what to do to correct it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
