We have both blackberry and active synch users here. We deployed a BES
server for the blackberry users and never have had a problem with it.
The active synch seems to be somewhat quirky and there are various hot
fixes out there for that service. I believe he can load the desktop
synch on his workstation and synch up using the cradle as well.

A number of our users opted for the I-Mate K-Jam and active synch.
Somewhat pricy but a good product. We haven't had any problems with it.

If he doesn't need a Global phone, get the 8125 or the 8525.. I've had
the
8125 for quite some time now, and it's a great phone.

Most pda phones are pretty similar, if they're using 5.0.. However, it's
the
little things that set this one apart.. Like it doesn't crash very often
(Mabye 3 times in the past year).. And it's got a great sliding
keyboard..

The only difference between the 8525 and the 8125 is a little bit of
processor speed. If he's not going to try and run something like Skype
on
the phone, he can save some dough with the 8125.

<sigh>Finally, I got to add something to the group, besides a
question.</sigh>

Thanks
David
