What about hijacking Word's Review/Collaboration system to your purposes?
Without looking much into it (I get a headache too), seems like there's some
potential there, when combining that with DL structures and send/receive
rules.

So there's no good way that you guys can think of without
writing code that will not work from version to version
(FWIW, I'm running 2003)?
I did have a long, convoluted, crufty, hard to maintain idea:
- Create DistroGroup as a user rather then a group, set the
box to both deliver locally and to the mailbox that needs to
see all the emails.
- Create a contact list under the DistroGroup that contains
the addresses of all of the members of each of the user groups
- mail rules can sort by contact list membership, setup a
mail rule that if a message if from a user that is in
ContactList1 then forward to member A,
ContactList2 to member B...
The biggest problem with this is maintaining it. I do not
know how to make sure that ContactList1 corresponds to Group1
unless I maintain it manually.
