Just from your own observations, which one seems to be closer to the true
figure, ESM or Outlook? (ANY mailbox holding just a 'few Kb' seems unlikely
to me)
What if you were to copy the entire contents of that mailbox with Exmerge?
What would be the size of the PST? That should tell you who's lying and
where to troubleshoot.

Maintenance seems to be running fine i.e. no errors and I see the usual
1221's to say it's completed and tell me free space etc.
ExBPA reports nothing relating to that.

Are all online maintenance tasks running correctly? Any configuration
errors with an Exchange Best Practices Analyzer scan?
There's an 'extra' task - can't ever tell if it's part of online
maintenance or just a System Attendant task - but ExBPA usually picks up
if it's failing to run.

Exchange 2003 SP2.
I have a user who's mailbox shows in ESM and through outlook as being
around 350mb in size.
Only thing is the folder sizes if viewed at the Mailbox level in Outlook
only add up to a few Kb as does the total of the messages in those
folders.
There are no errors/events logged in the Application Logs on the server.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this?
