I migrated from Exchange 5.5 to 2003. I want to get rid of my 5.5 server which was my first Exchange server (it's also the last 5.5 server). I found KB152959 "XADM: How to Remove the First Exchange Server in a Site." Do I need to worry about this or is this just for if removing the first 5.5 server in a site doesn't have anything newer than 5.5? Perhaps I all I need to do is KB822450 "How to remove the last Exchange 5.5 computer from an Exchange Server 2003 administrative group"? If I turn off the 5.5 server everything seems to work OK.
