In ADUC, do a Find on the domain, go to the Exchange tab and check
everything, then to the Advanced tab, and put in the search criteria.

Subject: Stuck external address
I have a child windows 2000 domain that we running Exchange 2003 SP2 In
this child domain we have users that get forwarded to Contacts that we have
created. I have a contact was was created with the incorrect forwarding
email address, and I have edited the address but still had issues with the
account. I then deleted the contact account waited 24 hours and have then
tried to recreate the contact account. when I get to the point of adding a
external email address Exchange tells me that the address still in the
directory. I have searched for this external address with out luck. Is
there a way to search the meta base and manually remove this address?
Suggestions?
