We have a case where we have an office of users (25) that won't be connected to our network for quite some time. However, we would like them to start using out Exchange server so they can be using their new email addresses. OWA is not an option due to opposition, and there's too many to have them all connect through a VPN.

At first I thought it may be possible to have Outlook connect to the OWA server we've setup, since every smartphone we have is able to do it...no such luck (all we want is for them to send and recieve email). I started reading about RPC over HTTP, but that doesn't seem to work since we're setup with a front end server, and a back end server.

At this point, I'd even be happy using POP mail if they can continue to use Outlook.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or more importantly, any sites with information how to get started, but that don't only have instructions on a single server configuration (or is this a limitation to having set ourselves up with a front-end server?)

Thank you
