The self signed certificate has expired on my Hub Transport Server. I tried to
renew the certificate by....

Get-exchangecertificate -thumbprint "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" |
new-exchangecertificate

This did indeed create a second certificate after I answered YES to overwrite
existing default SMTP certifate.

However, when I now do a

Get-exchangecertifcate | fl

I have two certificates listed. My new one with a status of VALID, and my
original expired certificate with a status of DATEINVALID.

Can I just remove the old certificate without causing any problems?

What has me concerned is, when I open Certificates in an MMC, and look under
Trusted Root Certification Authorities\Certificates.....I still see [EMAIL
PROTECTED] with an expiration date of 9/19/2008 (obviously the original, but
now expired certificate). Shouldn't this have my NEW certificate listed
here????

Thanks.

Rob
