We have Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows 2003 R2 with clients running a mix, but the ones affected by this all seem to be running Office 2007 (I would need to check to be 100% sure of service packs etc.)
We're seeing a few 9646 event entries, they seem to always be for the same handful of users, and it always seems to occur when the user opens Outlook and tries to look at their Public Folder favourites. Mapi session "/o=Company/ou=Site/cn=Recipients/cn=exchangeusers/cn=JOE.BLOGGS" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtFolder". For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. I appreciate I could just enter a higher limit in the registry on the Exchange server, but I'm not convinced it's a server side problem with the defaults? We don't run any sort of archiving/search plugin by default, but I intend to check for things such as Google and Windows Desktop Search or whatever it calls itself. Appreciate any thoughts/suggestions/advice. Cheers, Paul -- MIRA Ltd Watling Street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV10 0TU, England.
