Joel,

Yes, they are, at least the ones I'm dealing with. There are three data
centres, Bergen, Manchester and Frankfurt. The route domain was established
in Bergen and GC servers exist in the other centres. Three child domains
exist - NO, UK and DE. Manchester has its own site, Frankfurt is part of the
main site but there is network link between Manchester and Frankfurt but
there should be no need for one. There are no OM functions in Frankfurt?

I'm working with the Manchester site, which has the only Exchange 2000
servers in the organisation.

Do you recommend rejoining the main site? That is something I haven't
considered (yet).

regards,
Richard Dann

Subject: Problems installing E2K SP1

Folks,

I can't get E2K SP1 to run in the following configuration:

Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP2 with clustering in a child domain.
Route domain exists on a different subnet with a root GC server on thee
local subnet. Only domain controllers on the local subnet have full
access
to the DCs on the remote subnet. The Schema master function has been
transferred to the local route GC server. There are three full exchange
administrators - the root administrator, the child administrator and the
cluster admin. Whichever account is used the update will not run
claiming
insufficient permissions or lack of access to AD.

Do I need direct access to any Operation Master functions (other than
Schema
Master which is already assigned to a local server)?

Is there anything else I might have overlooked?

regards,
Richard Dann
