um... thats because Exchange2K uses the Active Directory for its DS, rather
than its own (like Exchange 5.5 does).

Exchange 2k, sp1 - I didn't remove any e-mail addresses, I simply disabled
the account through active directory and now all mail to the account
bounces.

Does anyone have any idea why when you disable a user account, the mailbox
is disabled as well? All mail sent to these accounts bounce with an NDR.
Any ideas?
