Erik,

After restoring the stores you should run Exchange Admin and go to the
properties of the Site in question and go to the advanced tab. Run the
Consistency Adjuster with the following options set:

Private Store: Synchronize with the directory, and create new directory
entries for mailboxes that do not have a corresponding entry.

Public Store: Synchronize with the directory, and reset the home server
value for public folders homed in unknown sites.

Check All inconsistencies and click OK....after it is done try to access it
with your Outlook client and get the mail you need (or use Exmerge...my
preferred choice).

Erik,

You didn't resore the directory, did you? You should restore only the IS,
and the KCC will create the directory for you.

Subject: Restore of Exchange 5.5 But Not Mail Account Access

Hi:

I did a restore (redirection) and have the services running. I have
installed Outlook and have logged in as Admin and whenever I do this I
cannot bring up anyone else's email accounts that require a restore.

What else am I missing?

I did the rehoming of PF's, did the IS/DS consistency adjuster and rean the
isinteg -patch. Any other ideas?

I did notice under the mailboxes that there are none however under mailbox
resources when you look in the IS Priv area under Exchange Admin there is
mail in the mailbox accounts.

Thank you,
