Have any of you ever considered just how far up your own arses you really
are?
I mean come on. Some of us just don't get to sit there all day playing with
one product. We are employed to keep a whole network or bunch of networks
going.
Yes I looked in the knowledge base, from my quick search I didn't come up
with anything. Yes I looked back through 20,000 plus mails from this list
that I save for reference but nothing showed up, so I thought "I know, ask
some guys who know, that in passing they might point me to the right
direction"
Boy was I wrong.
Hands up how many peoples Pocket notepads and pens fell out there top breast
pocket as they all chuckled in that rather geeky way that sad, "I know more
than you and why should I tell you" people do?
You all need to take a look at something like the VNC list. People fight
over helping others out, not try and win the one upman ship award.
If I were you, the next time your in a bar, look over at the other people, I
think your find their all laughing at you.
Sort your lives out!

Duh. Any moron could figure *that* out.
Of course, you're not just *any* moron. You're Tasty Flounder!
(To those who don't get the joke, it's an inside joke on one of the secret

There's a KB on that, I'm sure. Let me go search the KB for it...
Yep. There's a KB on it, all right. Gotta read it carefully, but it's
there.
Now go find it. I'll give you a hint. The first number is "2".

Subject: Removing Exchange 2000 after abortive install
I've had this before but always in a test environment where the AD was
expendable but now I cant trash the AD
I've had an Exchange 2000 install go wrong. I've managed to get the
mailboxes off the AD but the server was trashed and rebuilt without
removing Exchange 2000 in any kind of formal way.
I remember once trawling through the Raw AD with some Res Kit command
and picking anything out of the AD that looked like it had to do with
Exchange. This semi worked but at the time I had left the mailboxes on
and for some reason if the user had a mailbox the first time. They
couldn't get another one, again I assume because of something locked
away in the AD
Any one got an kind of documentation on recommended ways of doing
abortive Exchange removes?
Regards
Tim Guy
