I haven't tried to upgrade to win2k. I usually advice against OS upgrades and just format reload. It's usually a much cleaner load. What would be better of course (for those with large budgets) is to buy a newer/better box for ISA and W2k since it requires more resources to run.
As for making changes to the wspcfg.ini file, you don't need it with ISA. You can still use it with little to no changes made - just load the new firewall client and use the same ini file. However in ISA, it is better to use the Server Publishing functionality in ISA. For a better resourse on ISA, check out http://www.isaserver.org being run mostly by the illustrious Tom Shinder. You may also want to buy his book as a resource. Do we need to make any changes to our 5.5 exch (specifically the wspcfg.ini files) for our mail to still go through the IMC that is behind the proxy\isa? I have read that we can disable the proxy services which will allow us to simply upgrade to w2k and then install isa (no removal of proxy) has anyone tried this? Does it manage to keep any configurations from the proxy 2 and pass them on to the isa? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
