Hello, I have the following problem on EXCHANGE 2000. In the public folders I have one big contacts list. When a certain user logs on I want him to get certain views based on criteria that are entered in the contact properties. Ex:
User A logs in and gets full access and sees the complete list User B logs in and only sees the contacts based in USA User C logs in and only sees the contacts based in SPAIN I want to create a subview of a contacts list based on the user credentials. And the subview is based on certain criteria of the contacts that can be viewed. I know that there is something called address book views but this only works on Global address lists (not for contact lists, is there a way to get a contact list in the global address list). And I also think it is more used to sort the contacts. I thing the users still see all contacts. Here I want subsets of a contacts list based on certain criteria. I think the only solution is to create three contacts list. For ex ALL USA SPAIN And set user rights on it. This will be however very difficult to manage because if an new contact is created it win need to be created in some cases in all three contact lists. I thing that in time these contact lists will become corrupt because the data is out of sync. Management will be very difficult. If there is a solution for my problem, can it also be done with TASKS?
